Restaurant: 15 East

15 East: Super-pricy, super good.  The seafood was fresh and perfectly cooked when it was cooked, perfectly sliced when it wasn’t (anyone who’s had to gnaw through a hacked hunk of raw tuna knows what I mean), complimented with vibrant, in-season flavors.  The standout for me was the soft-shell crab.  Fried is an easy crowd-pleaser, but I appreciate a place who can leave the crabmeat tender and juicy while making sure that the shell isn’t a metal plate to crack through.  Also, not greasy, and crispy to the last mouthful.  Excellent.
